A student leading a boring life

Thursday, August 26, 2004

I haven't posted anything in 2 weeks, but I'm not quitting. There are so many things I'd like to write about, but my internet connection isn't helping. As of today I can't open any page, I can't do anything online. I've used both my university connection and the pre-paid card.
Problems started on the first days of August when my phone line was dead for a couple of days. My internet problems started as soon as my phone line was restored. I noticed I couldn't stay online for more than 5 minutes on the afternoons, mornings were worst, but I spend most of them at work. Everything seemed fine around midnight and that was what I found weird. As I said I'm mostly using my university account, therefore it would be normal to have problems from 10pm to early morning when most students go online. But what is happening is the exact opposite.
I contacted the technicians from my university, who found nothing wrong on their part and put the blame on the telecommunication company and my modem. I called the telecommunication company, who initially refused to help, and they found nothing wrong as well.
I'm pretty sure someone messed up with my line, but I can't prove it. I've decided not to call any more technicians, they're only going to charge me for more useless service.
