On the rocks? Coming right up

Yesterday morning I had once again the morning shift in our computer lab. Everything seemed normal, a couple of students who had spent the previous night there and were continuing their work, empty bottles on the tables and cigarette butts on the floor. Really nothing out of the ordinary. Except for a strange noise. It sounded like someone was opening holes on wall, but on a Sunday morning? I walked from room to room and found the culprit: the air conditioner was malfunctioning, making strange noises, dripping water on the pcs right under it. At some point it started spitting out ice! We tried to shut it down, but we were the unable to locate the remote and the button was broken. Fortunately it returned to almost normal operation for the rest of my shift. As for the pcs, at least two of them were wet and there was nothing I could do about it. I didn't even try to shut them down. I've been shocked before and I wasn't interesting in reliving it, thank you very much.

Sounds like an exciting day! Glad you figured out the problem.

P.S. I'm visiting via blog explosion. It was kind of funny when I saw your site because I have almost the same blog template and I go by the name "M" with my family. :)

Oh-oh, what happens to wet computers? Obviously they were still running when you left but I wonder anyway. Cold water and ice do not sound very good. :(
Btw, are you still in need of air-conditioning? It's almost November. I know, I know, you're living on the sunny side and I am freezing. *sigh*

Marcia, thank you for taking the trouble to comment on my blog. I'm guilty of visiting many blogs through BE, but never commenting. I'll try to rectify that.

Cashima, the pcs are still functioning and they are older than the air-conditioner. It's not that warm for me to need air-conditioning, but boys need it and they are the majority. Btw it hasn't rained yet :(
