Need: Diplomacy lessons
A couple of hours ago I unlocked our labs and the usual picture greeted me. Empty bottles, plastic cups, cigarette butts, generally litter everywhere. I went to sit in a non-smoking room thinking that perhaps I'm getting so used to this sight, that I'm becoming indifferent when something snapped. The non-smoking room smelled more of cigarettes than the smoking room. It was dirtier, with more butts piling on the floor, empty cigarette packages next to the keyboards and two ashtrays. I didn't find comforting the fact that someone brought these, so that he wouldn't throw the ashes down.
So what I did? I sent an angry mail forwarded to all the undergraduate students. But today I have to send another e-mail, because I still haven't found a second person for the lab sessions in one course. Do you think I'll get a reply to my second e-mail? I don't. I really need diplomacy or anger control lessons.
