Why am I not surprised?

SI.com - NBC turns over footage FCC after complaint - Friday December 10, 2004 8:35PM

A couple flirting and frolicking in the water, a pregnant woman, naked statues... It was too much for the puritans, I only wonder what took them so long. After the opening ceremony I participated in a discussion with friends from around the world and we wondered whether NBC had cut some scenes from the statue parade.
No further comments from me.

Dito. I wonder why it took them months to get back to this. I think they reacted instantly when the Jackson things "happened" on TV. Gosh, how dare those Olympic people portray sports and procreation...*oooohh* Let's keep the kids unsuspecting, let's guard the nations morals...blabla. No one gives a damn about drugs, mind you. And after aöö this was art, a thing that those moralistic guides probably don't care for in the least.
