The ESC cocktail

Once again Greece has come up with a fresh and original suggestion for the night of the 21st May. The recipe is quite easy to make and the success is guaranteed according to Greek officials.

Ingredients:
1/5 of R 'n B [1]
1/5 notes of lyra [2]
1/100 of inspiration
1/1000 of actual talent
+ secret ingredients [3]

Shake (shake, shake, shake, shake, shake it mi amor...) it well and add to the mix a good looking singer. Served at Eurovision song contests and clubs mostly, but appropriate for other cases as well. If conserved, can be drinkable up to 1 year after production. Please do not offer it to Cretans, they have violent allergic reactions due to the notes of the lyra.

Author's notes:
[1]+[2]: According to the composer it's a mix of R 'n B and Cretan sousta!
[3]: Secret ingredients are not to be revealed. However people who have tasted it have recognized a 50%-60% of recycled modern pop music.

Oh come on! I was hoping you'd mix a nice drink that would enable me to bear this year's ESC with some sort of dignity...:P

In my country "fame" is a very important ingredient. We've had many tv and society stars trying to get to the final round. Some of them even succeeded. Propaganda is too strong a word, but fooling the masses with stupid costumes and pretentious interviews is certainly the way to go.

Oh you enough contestants to have rounds. This year we first chose the singer and then we had a contest with 3 participants to choose a song.

"Fame" has become a factor ever since they allowed the public to vote, not that I ever understood the criteria by which the comittee decided the winner.

PS: I'm not making an ESC drink; I won't be held responsible for turning you into an alcoholic. Besides the only way to make the ESC bearable is by turning off your tv and radio.
